Description

• Mechanism of Action: This is a combination of two antihypertensive drugs. Olmesartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that prevents a hormone called angiotensin II from tightening blood vessels. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic (“water pill”) that helps the body get rid of excess water and salt. The combined effect lowers blood pressure more effectively.
