Ferhem( Iron Sucrose)

Description

• Mechanism of Action: Iron sucrose is an iron replacement product administered intravenously. After injection, it dissociates into iron and sucrose. The iron is then transported by a protein called transferrin to red blood cell precursors, where it is incorporated into hemoglobin to produce new red blood cells.

• Indications: It is indicated for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia, particularly in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) who are on dialysis or not.
