Description

• Mechanism of Action: It is believed to work by binding to a protein called synaptic vesicle protein 2A (SV2A) in the brain. This action helps to decrease the release of neurotransmitters, which in turn reduces the abnormal electrical activity that causes seizures.

• Indications: It is primarily an antiepileptic drug (anticonvulsant) used to treat and control various types of seizures, including partial-onset seizures, myoclonic seizures, and tonic-clonic seizures, in both adults and children.
